The Heart Behind Art By Ibby
Ibby, my chosen name, embodies the essence of who I am as an artist. A joy filled expression of color, movement and form that is found in my paintings. A perfect love affair. I paint because it connects me to me and those around me, family, friends, fur babies, and the Earth. used to climb on Mimosa trees and pick their delicate blossoms and play with them. Their softness and fragile beauty is magic. My grandparents grew flowers for me to pick and gave me a world of color and beauty to enjoy forever. I love connecting to the earth walking with bare feet on the soft grass, moss, or sand, sun on my face, reuniting me with nature. Water is healing and refreshes my soul. I pour these and more memories and feelings into my paintings with vivid colors and movement that inspire me. It energizes me to create and pour myself onto the canvas.
